Prodromos Anthopoulos is an Interventional Cardiologist who serves as VP, Head of Medical Affairs Europe for Cytokinetics, a NASDAQ listed company focusing on innovative cardiovascular and muscle biology medications. Prior to joining Cytokinetics in August 2023 he has served in global leadership roles, always from Switzerland, in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs in two different NASDAQ listed companies in the cardiovascular space. Prodromos received his Medical Degree from the University of Athens and completed his Cardiology training at Evagelismos general hospital. Subspecialized for more than two years in Interventional Cardiology at St Thomas’ hospital (NHS) in London UK. Returned to Evagelismos hospital as Consultant Cardiologist where, beyond his clinical duties, has been involved with research internationally, introduced innovations such as the treatment of Acute Coronary Syndromes in the Cath Lab 24/7 and was actively involved with the Hellenic Society of Cardiology. In 2012 he left the Clinical world and joined the Pharmaceutical industry. He has authored more than 35 peer-review articles, mainly within the field of Cardiology. In 2015 he obtained a diploma after completing a two-years post graduate program in Pharmaceutical
Medicine at the University of Basel. Since 2012 he lives in Switzerland with his wife and three children.
