3rd Working Conference of the Komvos – Global Hellenism Networks
Greece in a Global Perspective – From Vision to Implementation

Komvos – Global Hellenism Networks is organizing its 3rd Working Conference on Friday, 28 November 2025, at the Karatzas Mansion of the National Bank of Greece, Aiolou 82-84, Athens. The conference will host distinguished scientists, entrepreneurs, institutional representatives, government officials, and members of the Greek diaspora.
The Komvos Working Conference has established itself as a forum for dialogue and collaboration, where initiatives for specific actions connecting Greece with the global Hellenic community are presented and discussed. These initiatives aim to strengthen Greece’s role internationally while creating a multiplier effect for society and the economy.
The conference program includes the following sessions:
ENNOIA (Empowering Households in Economic Decision-Making): First year of activities and future prospects
Biotechnology Hub: Progress of studies for the establishment of a Health & Life Sciences Industrial Park
Shipping & ESG: Green transition of ports and coastal shipping as a driver of development
Tourism & Sustainability: Sustainability as both a goal and a new approach to management and governance
AI’nclusion: Preparing the economy and society for inclusive use of artificial intelligence
Science, Technology, and Space Industry: National space strategy and the new generation
Global Hellenism and the Creation of a Unified Research Space
The sessions will present research results, policy proposals, documentation and financing tools, as well as collaborations with institutions in Greece and the diaspora, aiming to develop initiatives with tangible social and economic impact. In the tourism session, honorary mentions will be awarded to organizations that stand out for sustainable tourism practices.
The Komvos Working Conference highlights the diaspora as a strategic partner for Greece. The global Greek scientific and professional community engages with the domestic ecosystem, co-developing proposals, collaborations, and interventions that strengthen Greece’s international presence.
Komvos promotes constructive dialogue with the government regarding the actions it proposes. The conference will feature speeches by:
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Dendias (closing speech of the conference)
Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Mr. Vassilis Kikilias (opening speech of the “Shipping & ESG” session)
