Emmanuel Fragoulis has served as a Visiting Researcher at major research centers abroad and as a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Athens. He has been elected several times as the Dean of the School of Biology. He has also served as the General Secretary for Science and Technology at the Ministry of Development in Greece, President of the National Center for Public Administration, and President of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies. He has been honored with various scholarships, including one from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Since 2014, he has been an Emeritus Professor of Biochemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since 2016, he has served as the Chairman of the Science and Society Committee of FEBS.
