Voula Tsouna is a Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

She works in the field of ancient Greek philosophy, specializing in Epicurean ethics, the epistemology of the Cyrenaics, the relationship between cognition and nature, the authority of first-person references, skepticism regarding the empirical world and other thoughts, the relations between relativism and skepticism, Socrates, Plato, the Socratic schools, and Hellenistic Philosophy.

She is the President of the Society for Ancient Greek Philosophy and a member of the Board of Directors of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi.
