Marily Maria Mexi is an expert in digital labor and the platform economy and former Special Advisor to the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

Based in Geneva, she advises major international organizations, permanent missions, and country delegations to the United Nations, as well as employers’ and workers’ organizations, on future labor issues. In this capacity, she has initiated and is currently leading an international initiative for the democratization of the platform economy, aiming to support governments and stakeholders in strengthening global governance and deepening dialogue focused on action for the future of the platform economy.

This initiative is hosted at the Albert Hirschman Center on Democracy at the Graduate Institute in Geneva and is directed by a council of experts from UN organizations and the World Economic Forum.
