Fay Makantasi is the Head of Research at diaNEOSis and a contracted Associate Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). Her doctoral dissertation was completed at AUEB.

She was a postdoctoral researcher on topics related to public sector reform in Greece, the country’s export performance, and the measurement of its human capital. Throughout her studies, she received scholarships from IKY, the Bank of Cyprus, the George and Victoria Karelia Foundation, AUEB, and the European program “HERAKLEITOS II.” Recently, she received a research grant from the Hellenic Observatory at the London School of Economics.

She has presented at international conferences, published in international journals, and authored and edited scientific socio-economic studies related to Greece and the country’s exit from the crisis.
