One of today’s key topics is related to the economic development of the region. The TechFuse conference, which is being held in Ioannina on the 5th and 6th of April, will cover a range of subjects that combine technology, innovation, and culture. 

Harris Antoniou – Founder and CEO of Neptune Maritime Leasing Ltd, Treasurer and board member of the Komvos-Node: Networks of Global Hellenism, will participate in the annual TechFuse conference entitled: “Bridging Technology, Innovation + Culture”, and which will take place on the 5th and 6th of April at the Dimitris Chatzis cultural venue in Ioannina, sponsored by Stegi Onassis Foundation, Epirus Bank, PWC, Epirus Region, and iFrame. 

The Event

The event is organized by the Non-Profit Partenership “Node of Innovation and Digital Economy”, and of course, the Non-Profit Civil Partenership “Komvos-Node: Networks of Global Hellenism”. 

This is the first conference to combine technology, innovation, and culture. TechFuse will address issues such as the development of the digital economy ecosystem, cutting-edge technologies, the evolution of innovation and start-up entrepreneurship, the impact of technology on society and labour, the relationship between technology and culture, and regional development on both economic and social level. 

The conference’s primary goal is the development and strengthening of the local and regional digital economy ecosystem, but its broader relevance comes from its thematic range and social character. 

Schedule

Harris Antoniou – member and treasurer of Komvos-Node, will participate in a discussion on regional economic development. He will be part of the panel on the first day (April 5, 2024) from 18:35 to 19:05. The topic of the panel is “Economic Development of the Region”, with the discussion moderated by Kathimerini journalist and co-founder of the C.Ioannina community, alongside panelists: Nikolaos Maniatis, CEO of IBM, Christos Megalou, CEO of Piraeus Bank, Nikolaos Kalogiannis, Partner, Advisory at PwC, Alexander Blades, Partner at Paulson & Co.
