Spyros Pappas is a lawyer, a member of the Athens and Brussels Bar Associations, the founder and CEO of the law firm Pappas & Associates, Brussels, Chairman of the Centre for Social Responsibility in the Digital Age, and Chairman of the Hellenic Network in Brussels. He was the Director-General at the European Commission, responsible for Consumer Policy, Information and Communication Policy, Culture and Audiovisual Affairs, and Education and Culture.He has also served as Director-General and Professor of European Law at the European Institute of Public Administration (Maastricht), Secretary-General of the National Centre for Public Administration, and as a judge at the Council of State.
