Within the framework of the 3rd Annual Conference of Komvos, John Papanikolaou, Founding Member and Honorary President of Komvos, emphasized the importance of Greek maritime power as a pillar of economic and geostrategic influence.

He highlighted that Greece, amid rapid international shifts and geoeconomic challenges, must develop a holistic national strategy that combines economic, geostrategic, and technological dimensions.

Mr. Papanikolaou pointed out the critical role of Greek shipping, insularity, shipyards, and ports in economic strength, geopolitical influence, and national security, underlining that the country needs a strategy that incorporates these elements and strengthens its overall power.

Finally, he noted that Komvos is already contributing to this effort by promoting dynamic initiatives in areas of high responsibility and national significance, extending an invitation to all who are interested and able to contribute.
