The goal of Komvos-Node is to foster synergies between Greek entrepreneurs and scientists abroad and those active in Greece. The objective is to enhance Greece’s geostrategic position. 

Improving the economy, research, and culture are our priorities. Not just as another think tank, but through specific actions and initiatives. 

One such initiative focuses on household literacy, specifically how Greek households can move towards rational financial management to avoid the phenomena witnessed during the economic crisis. This program is managed by Komvos-Node’s Vice President, Professor Michael Haliassos, an economist at the University of Frankfurt. 

Another initiative involves the future establishment of a biomedical center in Greece. This initiative is organized by the Komvos-Node’s Secretary, Professor Kostas Drosatos. 

We also have a strong interest in Greek shipping, which is a driving force of the Greek economy. However, one of the most important priorities is to map the Greek diaspora outside the borders of Greece, in order to better harness its potential. 

We are contemplating the creation of a foundation or institute that would coordinate and fund research activities, bringing together scientists from abroad and those in Greece for closer collaboration. 

Another initiative, which is particularly timely as it coincides with the 2024 Olympic Games, is the proposal to establish the Senior Olympics.
