Another International Distinction for the Vice President of the Board of Directors of Komvos, Michael Haliassos: Recognized as a Founding Fellow of the Royal Economic Society

We are delighted to announce that Professor Michael Haliassos, Vice President of the Board of Komvos, has recently been recognized as a Founding Fellow of the Royal Economic Society (RES), one of the world’s most prestigious scholarly associations in the field of economics.

This distinction is a testament to Professor Haliassos’ long-standing and internationally recognized contribution to the fields of household finance, macroeconomics, and financial economics — both in terms of academic research and in the dissemination of findings to broader audiences, with the aim of improving economic well-being. He holds the Chair of Macroeconomics and Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt and is the founding director of the CEPR Household Finance Network.

This recognition honors not only Professor Haliassos himself, but also Komvos, which is privileged to count him among the members of its highest governing body.
