“Nikos Konstantaras (Konstantaras-Kyprianos Nikolaos-Ioannis) is a columnist for the newspaper Kathimerini, where he served as the editorial director from 2004 to 2017.

He was also the first editor of the English edition of Kathimerini from 1998 to 2017. He was a regular columnist-contributor to the New York Times International Edition and has worked with many international newspapers. From 1989 to 1997, he was a correspondent for the Associated Press in Athens, covering major events in the wider region.

He was born in South Africa and studied Ancient Greek and English Philology (B.A., M.A.) at the University of Witwatersrand (Johannesburg).”
