The knowledge of the past could prove to be very useful to the modern world. There is a general trend of distancing from Greco-Roman culture, but Greece and Italy are two countries that could play a leading role in the field of the historical sciences in the future. 

In the context of the Delphi Economic Forum, Professor Angelos Chaniotis outlined the goals of Komvos-Node. “This is an initiative by economist Yiannis Papanikolaοu, aimed at fully utilizing the potential of the Greek diaspora.” 

Komvos-Node is in contact with parliamentary committees and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, providing its insights on how the Greek diaspora can be better utilized in areas such as research, cultural diplomacy, and more broadly on Greece can be supported both strategically and economically. 

The Return of the Greeks 

The return of Greeks who have already established their careers abroad is not easy, not only due to economic reasons but also due to bureaucratic challenges. However, what can be achieved is closer cooperation between Greeks excelling abroad and those residing in Greece on equal terms. 

Komvos-Node is proposing the creation of an organization that would coordinate research viewing it as a unified field, while utilizing the human resources available within Greece. Komvos-Node is in close contact with parliamentary committees and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contributing to the ongoing dialogue about leveraging the diaspora in areas such as research, cultural diplomacy, and supporting Greece strategically and economically.
