On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, the Argo Award ceremony took place at the Benaki Museum, under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
The Awards are an initiative of the International Association “Argo – Network of Greeks in Brussels”, which was founded by Greeks and Greek-speaking individuals working in companies, professional associations, NGOs, or as independent professionals in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Argo is managed by an Executive Committee, chaired by the founding member and board member of KOMVOS-NODE, Mr. Spyros Pappas, who was also a member of the Awards Committee.
The 2022 President of the Committee was Mr. Vassilios Skourlis, Emeritus Professor at the Law School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, former President of the Court of Justice of the European Union, and regular member of KOMVOS-NODE.
In addition to Mr. Pappas, the Awards Committee included the Mr. Nikiforos Diamantouros – Scholar, General Secretary of the KOMVOS-NODE’s Board of Directors and founding member, as well as Mr. Markos Veremis – member of KOMVOS-NODE’s founding team and President of Upstream, Partner at Big Pi Venture Capital.

The Argo Awards have been held annually since 2019 and are being presented for the fourth consecutive year. The goal of the Awards is to recognize Greeks of the Diaspora who honour their heritage, highlight their achievements as an inspiration to younger generations, promote international outreach, and raise awareness in Greece about the successes of its youth abroad.
