Prof. Maria Boilé, Professor of Port Policy and Management and Logistics at the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus, Director of the Master’s Program in Shipping and of the Laboratory for Quantitative Analysis in Shipping, and Corresponding Member of Komvos, was recently selected as a member of the Standing Committee on Port Operations and Infrastructure (AW011) of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) in the United States, which operates under the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NAS).

Professor Boilé stands out for her in-depth expertise in port infrastructure and maritime management, as well as for her consistent activity in research and consulting. Her participation in international programs and involvement in strategic projects highlight her ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions for contemporary challenges in ports and logistics. Her appointment to the committee reflects the recognition of her expertise at the international level and strengthens the voice of the Greek maritime community on the global stage.
