Prof. Sotirios Theofanis, a founding member of Komvos, was recently appointed as a member of the Standing Committee on Port Operations and Infrastructure (AW011) of the Transportation Research Board (TRB), which operates under the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NAS) in the United States.

Prof. Theofanis is an internationally recognized expert in ports, logistics, and freight transportation, with combined experience at administrative, advisory, and academic levels. He is also a Professor of Practice and Director of the Maritime and Port Management Master’s Program at the City College, University of York Europe Campus.

This appointment acknowledges his contribution to the maritime industry and port infrastructure on an international scale.
