“The goal is the long-term well-being of the insured and households,” said in his speech the Deputy Minister of Labor, Panos Tsakloglou.
The speech was given as part of an event organized by Professor Michael Haliassos and hosted by Komvos, with the generous sponsorship of Accenture Greece.
The event took place on November 1, 2023, at the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA) under the title: “Greek households facing modern economic challenges.”

Greek households are facing a series of issues, such as the demographic crisis, multiple short-term crises, the growing variety of financial products, and the multiple uncertainties caused by inflation, unemployment, wage levels, the level of state pensions, as well as the financial and qualitative level of healthcare coverage.
How can Greek households adjust their financial behavior to address the various risks and capitalize on the opportunities available to promote their economic well-being?
These questions are addressed in the event, through speeches and remarks from participants, including Mr. Tsakloglou. The event opened with a greeting from the President of EBEA, Sophia Efraimoglou. Speakers included (in alphabetical order):

The event was presented by journalist Anna Grimani, member of the Board of Directors of Komvos. After the speeches, a discussion followed with the participation of the Deputy Minister and the speakers. The discussion topic was, “How prepared are Greek households to face economic challenges and future opportunities?” The discussion was moderated by journalist Vassilis Kostoulas from the newspaper Kathimerini.
