On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 19:00 (EEST), the Academy of Athens will broadcast live the official induction ceremony of Prof. Doros Theodorou, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), as a full member of the Academy. During the ceremony, Scholar Konstantinos Vagenas will introduce Prof. Theodorou, who will deliver a lecture titled “Thermodynamic Analysis and Molecular Simulation as Tools for Understanding and Designing Materials.”

The ceremony will be opened by the President of the Academy of Athens, Prof. Michalis Tiverios, who is also a founding member of Komvos.

Professor Doros Theodorou is one of the founding members of Komvos. Originally from Cyprus, he has held academic and research positions at leading universities and research institutions abroad. He has devoted his career to advancing scientific knowledge in the field of computational materials science. Today, he teaches and conducts research at the School of Chemical Engineering at NTUA, combining theoretical and applied science through interdisciplinary collaboration.
