Thanos Markantonis is an economist, graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business, with an MSc in Financial Markets/Capital Markets, and a certified fund manager.

He has over three decades of experience in fintech projects, having held managerial positions at international banks (ABN Amro, Société Générale), as well as investment brokerage firms and Greek banks since 1990.

Currently, he is a partner at Eurocapital Partners and Vice President of the Aicatalyst Association, and also serves as Vice President of PASYFOS, the sole representative of rooftop photovoltaics in Greece. He is a passionate advocate for the use of photovoltaic systems for green energy.

He has authored numerous articles on technology, economics, environmental issues, and the stock market, while also supporting and acting as an angel investor in startups in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence.

He believes that artificial intelligence, when used responsibly and ethically, can significantly improve living conditions for society and humanity as a whole.
